MEET LAURA CHAVEZ
Chief Lugging Officer
Laura Chavez launched the Junkluggers of Austin in late 2017. Her focus has been creating a “for purpose” organization that is dedicated to giving back to the Austin community. The furniture and junk removal business is highly fragmented in Travis County.
Because of this, there are significantly different customer experiences when it comes to junk hauling. The Junkluggers of Austin is focused on donating usable items, re-purposing or recycling. Not only does this strategy help members of the Austin community, but it also reduces the number of items that end up in the landfill. It is Laura’s vision to reduce the amount of items sent to the local landfill by 80%. Our work highly values our Green Guarantee.
